Prominence of the Shrine : This shrine has 1532 steps, seven small hillocks and pillars chiming seven musical notations. Sri Prasanna Venkatachalapathy graces everyone in his wedding posture with Sri Devi and Bhoodevi. Holy Tulsi Theertham is offered at the Sannidhis of Perumal and Thayar. Veebhuti (holy ash) Prasad is offered at the karuppanna swamy Sannidhi. The special feature here is that thousands of devotees go around the 5km path around the hill every New Moon day. This is called as ‘Giri Valam’ of Perumal similar to Thiruvannamalai.
